(Oooops, why can’t I embed the code?)
The only athlete I know in these games is Shaun White, the U.S. Snowboarder who ruled the Halfpipe two Olympics in a row. Watch this 2006 video below, and you’d be amazed of what he can do.
(Again, I can’t embed the you tube code. Just click on this: Shaun White Amazing 2006 Olympics performance)
]]>Today, my knees complained and my aching body tortured me that I woke up at 12nn even though I slept at 1 am. This can’t be the sporty Ceblogger. I had my brunch again. So far, the farthest distance I went to the last three hours are from my bed to the bathroom. And I haven’t even taken a bath.
Wifey called up. She’d been to places already. Shame on me. My fingers did all the sports action today in ninja warz and in uploading some pics to my long lost and lonely friendster account. I also checked my blogs. No special things happening except for my AC Milan vs Inter Milan preview and prediction. Tomorrow, 24th, is the day when all at Milan stop to witness the football derby. Oh how I wish I have cable TV right now. My new 22-inch LCD TV is still sitting idly, unused for more than a week already.
Ah, life! This weekend in Manila is getting very very boring. I’d love to play badminton in Makati today but my knees. Oh, my knees! Sporty Ceblogger is just in my dreams.
]]>New Year
So, how did we start the new Year? I didn’t receive lots of New Year text messages this time around. Maybe it’s because of financial crisis. You know, a single text to other networks cost P1. (Hmmm… just like the Cebu Pacific Piso flight promo, eh.) Wifey and I woke up late that we skipped breakfast. The tasty lechon paksiw still awaited us at our food table. We just stayed home that day, and I watched Streetfighter 2 anime for 12 straight hours.
Work, work, work
The first working day of the year I arrived late at our head office. I was still on holiday mode. The meetings were simply light, but I know that we really have to work our butts had it been another day. I had conversations with a colleague (the blogger behind www.risksofbusiness.com). His Google adsense problem really hit him. He was so close to getting his first $100 GA money, but western union would not give him the amount as his ID’s have that extra name which he rarely use. It hurts because of all the hard work he put. Now he’s planning to clode his site. Too bad!
Wednesday I was back in Manila. I went straight to our new office somewhere in Alabang. It’s a better one. We all feel richer because of the location. I was still on holiday mode. I didn’t even feel anything despite the early morning meeting with the big boss.
Bloggers’ Meet ups
I will be attending a bloggers’ meet-up this Saturday. It will be held in Angeles City, Pampanga. It’s a nice way to start the year in my blogging career. Someone out there would like to hear me sing “My Way”, despite all the warnings. The meet-up is organized by Zorlone (a bloggista featured blogger) , and powered by Bloggista. It’s a sort of a despedida and birthday party in one.
Blogging goals
So many ideas, so little time. The goal this year is to breach $1000 of GA adsense monthly. Nah, I’m just dreaming. But they told me it’s possible.
]]>And it seems that we have the standard programme and the activities. Some guys were creative enough to suggest a baby-ish party for Christmas. And it actually won during the votation. Oh, well! I’ve never attended an adult Christmas party whose theme is “Pasko sa mga Bulilit”. Maybe it’s time to wear the ‘Bondying’ custome.
There there will be the manito-manita. When are we going to ever skip that? Now I have to think of kris kringle ideas for officemates.
But wait, a memo just arrived saying that we’ll skip the party and have Mass instead. We’ll just have snacks, probably pan de sal and sofdrinks only, in lieu of an elaborate party. What can I say? Ok, fine.
]]>With the departure of Ronaldo, the Red Devils is kind a different in form. If you don’t know who Ronaldo is, then you must be from Mars. Kidding aside, Ronaldo is one of the best, if not the best soccer player in the world today. Just a few months ago, Real Madrid brought him from United with a record breaking amount of cash — £80 million that is. Whew!
Yeah, I know. It was such a big loss for Manchester United and the English Premier League as a whole. The kid is really very good. He has excellent dribbling skills and when he shoots, goalies will freeze in panic. I’m gonna miss the guy alright.
Now for Chelsea. I became a Chelsea fan six years ago because of their media-darling coach Jose Mourinho. The Special One (yeah, that’s what he calls himself) brought Chelsea trophies one after another. The bar was raised in England, and the other teams were scrambling to beef up their lineup. But he’s gone now, not to heaven but to a team in Italy which has recaptured trophies and recogntion during his arrival.
Now tonight, I predict a Chelsea victory. They’re playing at home and they have the most potent squad in England today. Sorry, United fans!
]]>Seriously, there is a reason for this. And that is a secret that SEO wannabes already know. But for me, this is for the love of writing. Like my Pacquiao vs Cotto firepower round by round results. The fight is still days away yet there I am posting my fictionalized version of the event. I don’t really know if anyone would believe that. But the search engines might pick it up and bring the story to the front pages. Of course, if people actually read everything in it, they’d realize that it’s a plain work of my imagination.
Now, let’s go back to the topic. Why add another blog? Perhaps because I want to scatter my brain all over the internet. Yuk! You don’t need that, do you?
]]>This hidden nook of mine here will showcase my post in my other blogs. Of course, I’ll be posting some originals here. If you are another Bloggista like me, please free to add me in your blogroll.
