Happy New Year 2010! We survive 2009 and we thank God we still have the strength and the health left to face the hustles and bustles of the coming year.
New Year
So, how did we start the new Year? I didn’t receive lots of New Year text messages this time around. Maybe it’s because of financial crisis. You know, a single text to other networks cost P1. (Hmmm… just like the Cebu Pacific Piso flight promo, eh.) Wifey and I woke up late that we skipped breakfast. The tasty lechon paksiw still awaited us at our food table. We just stayed home that day, and I watched Streetfighter 2 anime for 12 straight hours.
Work, work, work
The first working day of the year I arrived late at our head office. I was still on holiday mode. The meetings were simply light, but I know that we really have to work our butts had it been another day. I had conversations with a colleague (the blogger behind www.risksofbusiness.com). His Google adsense problem really hit him. He was so close to getting his first $100 GA money, but western union would not give him the amount as his ID’s have that extra name which he rarely use. It hurts because of all the hard work he put. Now he’s planning to clode his site. Too bad!
Wednesday I was back in Manila. I went straight to our new office somewhere in Alabang. It’s a better one. We all feel richer because of the location. I was still on holiday mode. I didn’t even feel anything despite the early morning meeting with the big boss.
Bloggers’ Meet ups
I will be attending a bloggers’ meet-up this Saturday. It will be held in Angeles City, Pampanga. It’s a nice way to start the year in my blogging career. Someone out there would like to hear me sing “My Way”, despite all the warnings. The meet-up is organized by Zorlone (a bloggista featured blogger) , and powered by Bloggista. It’s a sort of a despedida and birthday party in one.
Blogging goals
So many ideas, so little time. The goal this year is to breach $1000 of GA adsense monthly. Nah, I’m just dreaming. But they told me it’s possible.
