It’s not even mid-November and yet we already discussed about our office Christmas party. Of course we have to prepare and book the caterer in advance. I am sure that others too are planning for their Christmas parties as early as October. The date we choose is closer to Christmas Day so I’m sure we’re in for competition.

And it seems that we have the standard programme and the activities. Some guys were creative enough to suggest a baby-ish party for Christmas. And it actually won during the votation. Oh, well! I’ve never attended an adult Christmas party whose theme is “Pasko sa mga Bulilit”. Maybe it’s time to wear the ‘Bondying’ custome.

There there will be the manito-manita. When are we going to ever skip that? Now I have to think of kris kringle ideas for officemates.

But wait, a memo just arrived saying that we’ll skip the party and have Mass instead. We’ll just have snacks, probably pan de sal and sofdrinks only, in lieu of an elaborate party. What can I say? Ok, fine.

Companies now have a good excuse not to spend money on Christmas parties and instead donate the money to some charitable activities. Something that I agree. Its better to give than to receive – indeed. ;-)

on the other hand, some employees may feel deprived of at least one celebration a year.
